National Church Residences seeks a research partner to improve affordable housing care
National Church Residences (NCR) is seeking proposals for a research organization to study existing NCR affordable senior housing and service models to determine the facility design features and other supports that result in Medicaid cost savings and improved quality of life for residents. Innovative proposals for ADAMH board collaboration in FY13 to be topic of January webinars
In December, the Ohio Department of Mental Health (ODMH) announced a new strategy for allocating some of the funding that it sends to the 50 community mental health boards in the state for services to individuals who are not covered by Medicaid or other insurance. Ex-Offender Reentry Mini-Grants awarded to 14 ADAMH boards, Forensic Focus published
The ODMH Office of Forensic Services has announced the award of Ex-Offender Reentry Mini-Grants to Ohio communities to expand services to individuals exiting the prison system. Of additional interest, the Forensic Services page now contains links to the presentation materials from the November Forensic Conference in Columbus, as well as the December issue of Forensic Focus, the ODMH newsletter with updates on efforts to improve mental health services to people involved in the criminal justice system. Pilot test of the new Mental Health Outcomes Record has begun
The ODMH Office of Research and Evaluation, in collaboration with the ODADAS Office of Information Technology, is piloting a new mental health outcomes record for consumers with SMD/SED in the Ohio Behavioral Health web-based facility. This is an opportunity to test the feasibility of several new fields and requirements in ODMH's outcomes and information system known as Treatment Episode Outcomes. Newsletter offers advice on addressing bullying from youth and professional perspectives
The Office of Children, Families and Prevention at the Ohio Department of Mental Health focuses on the topic of bullying in its latest Kids Newsletter. Ohio Department of Mental Health seeks medical director
ODMH is currently seeking candidates for its medical director position, which is specified in Ohio Revised Code. This position provides clinical leadership within the public mental health care system to support access to high quality, safe and effective mental health services across the life cycle. The medical director manages the chief clinical officers within Ohio’s state-run Regional Psychiatric Hospitals and guides the development of clinical protocols to improve patient care. ODMH has recently implemented changes that will contain Medicaid costs to preserve funding for non-Medicaid services.
